PENGEMBANGAN MULTIMEDIA INTERAKTIF MENGGUNAKAN APLIKASI AUTOPLAY MEDIA STUDIO 8 PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPS KELAS VIII SMP

Problems found in SMP Negeri 23 Padang in social studies subjects class VIII. Seen students do not pay attention to the teacher when explaining the lesson, chatting with other friends, and there are also just sitting pensive or sleepy in class. This study aims to develop products as a valid and practical learning media in accordance with the eligibility criteria of materials and media in social studies subjects VIII in SMP Negeri 23 Padang. This type of research is development research known as Research and Development (R&D). Based on the results of research and development of interactive multimedia on social studies subjects in class VIII SMP shows that, the development procedure is taken through the first few stages, the preliminary study stage by conducting needs analysis, the second stage of interactive multimedia development. So from this development procedure, the product validity test results for the material aspect are at "very appropriate" with the value obtained by the validator of 4.70, for the media aspect, the achievement is "very feasible" with the value obtained by validator I at 4.60 and validator II is 4.78. Furthermore, the practicality results of the product based on the trials that have been carried out are on the achievement of "very practical" with the value obtained of 4.52. The conclusion of this research is that interactive multimedia on social studies subjects is appropriate to be used in the learning process.
