Abstract

The development of interactive learning multimedia in the subjects of Information and Communication Technology is one of the efforts to create media that can help the teaching and learning process better. The teacher explains the learning materials of Information and Communication Technology in computer laboratories. Students tend to get bored studying. Students have difficulty in understanding the material and following instructions that are conveyed orally. As a result, learning is less efficient. The purpose of this study is to create interactive learning multimedia that is valid, practical and effective in order to encourage student motivation to be more active and learn independently.


            The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D). This research procedure refers to the Borg & Gall model and has been simplified in accordance with research needs ranging from planning, developing initial products, conducting product validation (material validation and media validation), conducting trials, and obtaining the final results in the form of interactive learning multimedia. Data collection instruments are documentation and questionnaires to measure the validity of material and media aspects as well as the practicality of the product. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods to determine product viability.


            The results of product validity testing by media experts are the category of "Very Valid". Product validity with material experts is in the "Very Valid" category. Furthermore, the practicality of the product based on the trials that have been carried out resulted in an average of 4.68 in the "Very Practical" category. Therefore, interactive learning multimedia is worth testing. The effectiveness of interactive learning multimedia seen from the comparison of significant student learning outcomes, tested using t-tests obtained t_count> ttable (2.24> 1.7109). The results showed that multimedia interactive learning in Information and Communication Technology subjects in high school class XII effectively used. Based on the results of research that has been done it can be concluded that interactive learning multimedia in the subjects of Information and Communication Technology is feasible to use in learning.
