Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of the implementation of model cooperative learning of Snowball Drilling for the student learning outcomes in class VIII IPS at SMP N 40 Padang. The study used quantitative methods using the Quasy Experimen method, with a population of 56 people. Samples were carried out with the purpose sampling technique, namely VIII3 class as the experimental and VIII2 classes as each of the 28-person control classes. Data collection techniques are test questions in the form of objective and data collection tools are about objective-shaped tests consisting of 40 items. The results found there was a significant influence from the learning outcomes of experimental graders using the cooperative model of a PowerPoint-assisted Snowball Drilling type and control class using conventional methods with average grade The experiment (VIII3) is 86.16 and the average value of the control class (VIII2) is 80.08. From the results of the hypothesis test that has been done with the analysis of Thitung > Ttabel value, which is 3.18 > 2.00488 with a real level 0.05. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence on student learning outcomes in IPS in class VIII of SMP N 40 Padang.
