The background of this study was the observation of the researchers did in SMP Negeri 4 Padang, where the learning strategies of thinking is not put to good use in any learning process in the classroom, as well as the methods used by teachers in science teaching less varied so that the students' motivation to become less, consequently student learning outcomes to be low. This study aimed to assess the effect of using pictorial riddle of the results for students at SMPN 4 Padang. This study is the quantitative approach quasy experiment. The study population were students of class VII SMP Negeri 4 Padang, amounting to 223 people consists of 7 classes Academic Year 2019/2020. Based on final test results of students in the form of worksheets that have been given to the experimental group and control group, the results obtained in the experimental class with an average value of 79.06, while the control class is obtained for the average value 71.16.Based on the calculation of the t test calculations obtained t 4.39 while ttable on α 0.05 is 2.000. When compared t count 4.39 > t table = 2.000. Thus, by using learning methods Pictorial Riddle significantly affect student learning outcomes classroom VII in SMP Negeri 4 Padang Academic Year 2019/2020.
