Abstract

The development of learning multimedia occurs as an effort to solve learning problems where the lack of a learning environment used by teachers in the learning process has an impact on low student interest and motivation. Multimedia is a resource that can support student learning both at school and individually at home. Learning media can be used as an alternative to reduce learning problems in students' listening skills so that learning becomes fun. The purpose of this research is to develop English learning media for grade VII junior high schools in order to produce appropriate and practical media for use by teachers and students.


This type of research is research and development work (research and development). The material validator has an average value of 4.44 and is classified as "very valid". The average value of the Adobe Animate learning multimedia assessment in English class VII subjects was 4.72 with the Media Validator I and 4.48 with the Media Validator II. In conclusion, it can be stated that learning multimedia developed in terms of media can be classified as "very valid". The research was conducted in 4 stages of the model, the first stage was carried out with curriculum analysis, student analysis and concept analysis. Then do the initial product development by making flowcharts and storyboards then learning materials using Adobe Animate. Then the media and material validators carried out the validity test stage, and finally the practicality and effectiveness tests were carried out for grade 7 high school students.
