Abstract

This study aims to produce animated video media products as learning media that are in accordance with the eligibility criteria of media and material on the material structure and function of plant tissue in class VIII science subjects. This type of research is research and development known as R&D). The development model of this research is the Borg and Gall model, which has 10 development steps. The product validity test was carried out by 3 validators, namely 1 material validator and 2 media validators. Product trials were carried out by 17 grade VIII students of SMPN 29 Sijunjung. Based on the results of the assessment of the material aspects, an average of 4.7 and a percentage of 93% is obtained with the "Very Appropriate" category, the validation results of media experts obtain an average of 4.8 and a percentage of 96% with the criteria "Very Valid". while media expert 2 obtained an average of 4.3 and a percentage of 86% with the criteria of "Very Valid". Furthermore, the results of the analysis based on trials for the practicality of animated video media products are in the "Very Practical" category. Based on the results of validity tests and trials on students, it can be concluded that animated video media can be developed and used effectively in the learning process in class VIII SMP.
