Abstract
The development of learning multimedia at SMP 1 Sungai Tarab class VIII is motivated by: lack of motivation and student activity in the learning process because the media used is very limited such as: only using blackboards and printed books so that it does not attract students' attention during the learning process. Then the short lesson hours make teachers rush in delivering learning materials so that students are required to study independently both at school and outside school. This study aims to develop learning multimedia in the class VIII Junior High School Craft subject in order to produce appropriate and practical media used by teachers and students.
This type of research is Research & Development with 4D (Definition, Design, Development, and Dissemination. The product validity test developed is carried out by three validators consisting of one material expert and two media experts. Testing or practicality The product was administered to class VIII junior high school students with a total of 25 students to test the practicality of learning multimedia products in the class VIII junior high school crafts that had been designed.
Based on the results of the assessment of the material validator and media validator, the material validation results obtained an average of 4.8 with the category "appropriate", the validation results from the media validator 1 obtained an average of 4.69 with the category "very feasible" and the media validator 2 obtained an average an average of 4.92 with the category "very feasible". This learning multimedia is said to be "very practical" based on the practicality test with an average value of 4.52. Based on the results of the validity and practicality tests, it can be concluded that the multimedia learning of craft subjects for class VIII SMP that was developed is suitable for use in craft subjects for class VIII SMP.
