Abstract

This research starts from the reality that exists in SMP Negeri 18 Padang where students are less interested in taking lessons due to the lack of interesting learning media in these subjects, teachers only use textbooks, simple media and lecture methods in delivering subject matter. Therefore, researchers developed a flipbook application-based learning media in order to create an interesting learning atmosphere, which can be used by students and teachers so as to facilitate the learning process.


This type of research is development research using the Borg and Gall method, namely 1) research and information gathering 2) planning 3) initial product development 4) initial field test 5) product revision 6) main field test 7) ​​operational product revision 8) test operational field 9) final product revision 10) dissemination and implementation. Research instruments include validation sheets, questionnaires and documentation. This learning media validation process was carried out by 2 experts, namely media experts and material experts. Then do research for practicality test.


The results of the material validity test are in the "Very Valid" category with a percentage of 91.42%, the media validation results are in the "Very Valid" category with a percentage of 91.3% so that flipbook-based learning media products can be tested. Furthermore, the results of the product practicality test are in the "Very Practical" category with a percentage of 84.9%, so that interactive learning media products are suitable for use by VII grade junior high school students as learning media.
