Abstract

Educational games are one of the interesting and fun learning media. This media has advantages in delivering learning materials. In delivering material, educational games make learning into a game where students learn when they find missions and challenges in educational games. The purpose of this research is to make educational game products that are attractive to students and provide motivation in learning, so that the objectives of learning are achieved. This research is a research and development (R&D) adapted from the model of Alessi and Trollip. The development procedure includes the planning, design, and development stages. In the alpha test, an assessment was carried out by 1 material expert and 2 media experts to determine the feasibility of the product. Furthermore, the beta test was carried out on 20 fifth grade students as test subjects at SD Negeri 20 Bunga Tanjung. This study shows the following results: (1) the percentage obtained from material experts is 92.8% with a very appropriate category; (2) the percentage obtained from media expert 1 is 92.2% with very decent category and from media expert 2 is 90% with very decent category. Based on the validation test from material experts and media experts, it can be concluded that the Development of Educational Game Learning Media on Thematics for Grade V Elementary School Students can be said to be very feasible to use.
