Abstract
This development research is carried out based on problems that have been found in the field. From the consequences of the search for problems that should be solved, namely the low learning results of students in science subjects at SMPN 12 Padang which is caused in the learning process the media used by the teacher has not drawn in light of a legitimate concern for understudies with the goal that understudies can learn actively and optimally in following it. Facilities such as computer labor and wifi have not been used properly by educators in making teaching materials so that there is no web-based teaching material available in the school environment. In addition, the condition of some students who lack the initiative in finding learning resources causes a lack of student understanding of the learning material. The improvement of making web-based teaching materials aims to produce substantial and pragmatic online instructing materials products. This kind of development is Research and Development (R&D). The advancement model utilized is the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model comprises of five phases of development, to be specific examination, plan, advancement, execution and assessment. The item approval test was done by three validators with two media validators and one material validator. Meanwhile, the practicality test was carried out with 30 class IX understudies. The outcomes showed that the worth of the product validation results from the media validator 1 obtained an average value of 4.26 with a very valid validation result category from the media validator 2 acquired a normal worth of 4.52 with the "very valid" rules. The consequences of the material validation test by the material validator acquired a normal of 4.77 with a very valid category. While the results of the practicality test obtained an average value of 4.55 with a very practical category. Overall, it very well may be ascertained that web-based teaching materials are "very feasible" to be utilized in science subjects for class IX SMP.
