Pengembangan Multimedia Interaktif Berbasis Macromedia Flash 8 pada Bidang Studi IPS Kelas VIII di SMPN 9 Padang

This research is motivated by social studies learning which is considered boring. This is because there is a lot of material that must be memorized so that student interest is felt to be lacking in social studies lessons. In learning the material provided by social studies is quite a lot while the available time allocation is only a little, for teachers it is not easy to convey the material as a whole. The development of interactive multimedia aims to help teachers in teaching by using interesting learning media and as a source of independent learning for students both in class and outside the classroom. This research aims to produce valid and practical interactive multimedia products.
This type of development is Research and Development (R&D). The development model used is the ADDIE model. There are five stages of development, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation.
The results of interactive multimedia development through validation and practicality tests. The product validation test was carried out by three validators with two media validators from a lecturer in the curriculum and educational technology department of the Faculty of Education, Padang State University and one material validator from a social studies teacher at SMPN 9 Padang. And the practicality test was carried out with class VIII students of SMPN 9 Padang. The product validity results from the media validator 1 obtained an average value of 4.57 categorized as "very valid". The validity results from the media validator 2 obtained an average value of 4.75 categorized as "very valid". The results of material validity by material validators obtained an average of 4.92 categorized as "very valid". While the results of the practicality test obtained an average value of 4.86 categorized as "very practical". So it can be concluded that interactive multimedia based on Macromedia Flash 8 is "very feasible" to be used in the social studies field of class VIII SMP.

Abstrak
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pembelajaran IPS yang dirasa membosankan. Hal itu dikarenakan banyak materi yang harus dihafalkan sehingga ketertarikan siswa dirasa kurang pada pelajaran IPS. Pada pembelajaran materi yang diberikan IPS cukup banyak sementara alokasi waktu yang tersedia cuma sedikit, bagi guru tidak mudah bisa menyampaikan materi secara menyeluruh. Pengembangan multimedia interaktif ini bertujuan untuk upaya membantu guru dalam mengajar dengan memakai media pembelajaran yang menarik serta selaku sumber belajar mandiri bagi siswa baik digunakan dikelas maupun diluar kelas. Penelitian ini punya tujuan guna menghasilkan produk multimedia interaktif yang valid serta praktis.
Jenis pengembangan ini ialah Research and Development (R&D). Model pengembangan yang dipakai yaitu model ADDIE. Ada lima tahap pengembangan yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi serta evaluasi.
Hasil pengembangan multimedia interaktif lewat uji validasi serta praktikalitas. Uji validasi produk dijalankan oleh tiga validator dengan dua validator media dari dosen jurusan kurikulum dan teknologi pendidikan fakultas ilmu pendidikan universitas negeri padang serta satu orang validator materi dari guru bidang studi IPS SMPN 9 Padang. Dan uji praktikalitas dilakukan dengan siswa kelas VIII SMPN 9 Padang. Hasil validitas produk dari validator media 1 didapatkan nilai rata-rata 4,57 dikategorikan “sangat valid” hasil validitas dari validator media 2 didapatkan nilai rata-rata 4,75 dikategorikan “sangat valid”. Hasil validitas materi oleh validator materi diperoleh rata-rata 4,92 dikategorikan “sangat valid”. Sementara hasil uji praktikalitas didapatkan nilai rata-rata 4,86 dikategorikan “sangat praktis”. Maka bisa disimpulkan bahwasanya multimedia interaktif berbasis macromedia flash 8 “sangat layak” dipakai pada bidang studi IPS kelas VIII SMP .
