Abstract

In the course of Video and Television Media Development, media is needed that can support carried out by students in producing a video and as a reference for students in applying the techniques of making a video that have been studied in theory lectures. The development of instructional video media in the course of Development of Video and Television Media can help students understand the message of learning material that is independent and more meaningful. This study aims to produce instructional video products as a learning medium in accordance with the media, material, and pratical eligibility criteria for students of the Departement of Curriculum and Educational Technology, FIP UNP. This type of research is a development know as Research & Development (R & D). Based on the results of the assessment of material provisions from material experts and media experts, namely lecturers of the Departement of Curriculum and Educational Technology, FIP UNP, namely, there is an assessment of material validation by material I with the suitability of the material obtaining an average of 4.86 with the category “very valid” and material expert II obtained an average of 4,78 with category “very valid”. The results of media validation obtained a score from media expert I of 4,75 in the “very valid” catefory and media expert II of 4.95 with the “very valid” category. The practicality test subjects were taken many as 10 students of the Departement of Curriculum and Educational Technology, FIP UNP to test the practicality of the designed instructional video media products. Analysis of the practicality of the instrument with a student response questionnaire related to the use of instructional video media that has been made obtain an overall average score 4,81 in the “very practical” category. So based on validity and practicality, it can be concluded that video media products can be developed and practically used.
