This study focus, specify the differences in social studies learning result using the Active Learning Index Card Match Type and the Active Learning Card Sort Type. This research was in the form of quantitative descriptive using a literature study approach (library research), which examined the appropriate written sources to answer research questions. The method of this literature study was conducted by through discussion of written works and research results that have or have not been published. The data was secondary data, that obtained indirectly. Techniques of data collection are by gathering relevant sources about the value of student that learning outcomes, which follow the Index Card Match learning with the Card Sort learning model and support the research studied by researchers.

Based on t-test results, the tcount was 0.825 and the table value was 2.101 (in the t table with dk = 18, the significance level α 0.05), meaning that tcount <ttable was 0.825 <2.101. Thus Ha was rejected and H0 was accepted. Then there was no significant difference from the data of social studies learning outcomes that use the model of active learning Index Card Match compared to the active learning model of Card Sort type. So, concluded model of active learning Index Card Match type and the model active learning Card Sort type are both effectively used to upgrade of student learning outcomes in subject of social.
